My classmates and I have all recently entered a Biscuitville sponsored competition. In short, Biscuitville is looking for the next great biscuit. My original idea was to create a strawberry banana biscuit filled with strawberry jam and fresh banana slices. Unfortunately, my biscuit did not make the cut. However, my five of my classmates’ biscuits did! I had the privilege of working on The Chipper with Patterson Huggins, Emily Hines, and Madison Margeson. (You can find each of their blogs on my blog roll under the ABOUT section of my blog.) The Chipper utilizes Biscuitville’s biscuit mix, but adds a twist. Both sugar and chocolate chips are added to the mix as well. Then, a maple syrup glaze tops the biscuit to give it an extra source of flavor.
Currently, yet another one of my Elon classmates’ ideas made it to the final round of the biscuit competition. Emma Kwiatkowski (also available on my blog roll) pitched an idea for a Campfire Biscuit. This biscuit takes Nutella, marshmallow fluff, and cinnamon to create a biscuit that has already proven to turn heads in this competition.
